Exactly!
If one man can create 100 children at a time, then 1000 men can create 100,000 children.
Whereas, as you point out, one woman can create only one child at a time.
That's why societies that practice polygamy tend to have more children, like Bountiful, BC, or Saudi Arabia, or Africa, where some men have up to 60 children.
