5513. COMMENTAIRES DU PEUPLE. SOMMES-NOUS TROP NOMBREUX ET COMMENT Y RÉMEDIER DE LA FAÇON LA PLUS RÉCRÉATIVE ?
1
There's more than enough food and resources in the world to feed and sustain 7 billion people.
It's just that there's a few countries which consume 3x more resources than they should.
Guess which ones?
2
Sure, there's "enough" to feed 7 billion, in the short term. But then that 7 becomes 8, and that 8 becomes 9.
Meanwhile, the industrial agricultural methods required to sustain this are destroying the soil and supporting ecosystems.
Then when oil flows slow as is mathematically inevitable, the industrial model slows and billions starve.
And most of us don't want to live in some "averaged" world.
Our ancestors didn't overbreed. Theirs did -- we were responsible and should reap the reward.
3
A mass die off in about 10 years I would say.
4
I would hope for sooner. The sooner the correction happens, the fewer humans will be involved. Such a sad reality, it really doesn't make a person's day to think about the human overpopulation crisis..
5
There was an article on another site recently about people who choose to not have kids. As I'm one of those, I commented.
I then came under attack by all of the parents about why I should. One of their primary arguments was that I have to have kids to continue the survival of the species.
Yeah, that's all we need, right? We're barely managing another billion every few years.
